What does membership cost?
We offer various membership plans based on how often you’d like to train and which program(s) you’d like to train in. Our programs require some upfront equipment costs (e.g. gloves, hand wraps, mouth guards, etc.) some of which you can purchase from the gym, and some you may need to (or prefer to) buy on your own. There are no extra costs outside of your membership and equipment for any of our programs — we don’t charge extra for class elements like level tests or belts.
Can I participate in more than one program at a time?
Yes! We have many members who participate in more than one program at a time. The only variant is your membership cost.
What classes can I get free trials of?
You can schedule a free trial class for each program (Muay Thai, BJJ, and Boxing), so feel free to try all three! Muay Thai trials can be scheduled for any Fitness & Fundamentals class; BJJ trials can be scheduled for any class; Boxing trials can be scheduled for any All Levels class. Check out our Class Schedule page or request your free trial of any program here.
What gear do I need for my first class?
For your first Muay Thai class: All you need is a water bottle and comfortable athletic clothes you can move and throw kicks in. If you already have hand wraps, gloves, shin guards, or other Muay Thai equipment you can bring them but you aren’t required to have your own for your first day.
For your first BJJ class: All you need is a water bottle and comfortable athletic clothes you can move in. If you have a gi you can wear it to a Gi class. If you have a rashguard or other jiu-jitsu apparel you can wear it to a No-Gi class. You aren’t required to bring your own equipment for your first day.
For your first Boxing class: All you need is a water bottle and comfortable athletic clothes you can move in. If you already have hand wraps and gloves or other Boxing equipment you can bring them but you aren’t required to have your own for your first day.
Am I obligated to spar/fight?
No, we will never pressure you to spar or take a fight. Everyone has different reasons for training and we understand that many of our members enjoy the fitness and community elements of the gym. As your skills grow you might be asked or presented with an opportunity to spar or compete, but you can absolutely refuse. We want to push people out of their comfort zones to grow, but we will never force or punish anyone for refusing to do something they aren’t comfortable with.
Do I need to be fit before starting a martial arts program?
No! There is no baseline fitness level required to attend our programs — we’re all on our own fitness journeys and we all start somewhere. Anyone and everyone are welcome and our coaches can offer modifications to exercises if needed. We’re here to help you on your fitness journey, not be an obstacle to its beginning.
